Three questions worth doing the maths on
Should I buy this upgrade, what should I buy next, and do I sell now or wait. Everything else in GTA Online is taste. These three have actual answers.
Is this upgrade worth it?
Sticker price tells you nothing. What matters is how many sales it takes to earn itself back at the rate you actually play.
Payback
Built from published stock values and supply costs, so the per sale figure is solid. The per hour number still assumes you sell as soon as stock is full.
What should I buy next?
Ranked by how long each one takes to pay for itself at your play rate, counting the upgrades it needs before it earns anything. Anything you already own is left out.
Shopping list
Most of these rates are estimates built from community testing rather than published figures, and none of them include weekly 2x events, which can move the order considerably. Use this to pick between two purchases, not to justify one you were going to make anyway.
Sell now or wait?
A half-full business sells for half as much, but waiting only pays if you are still online when it fills. This compares both against the time you actually have.
Sell comparison
Filling to 100% needs 1h 48m including the delivery, and you told us you have 1h 30m. Sell what you have. Stock carries over to your next session, so the alternative is leaving $201,120 sitting in a warehouse doing nothing.
Every figure behind these comes from one file, so when Rockstar rebalances something the calculators and the reference tables move together. Where a number is community-tested rather than published, the statement says so instead of pretending otherwise.
